Advocate for KSC
Presumably, KSC faculty and staff have by now gotten President Giles-Gee’s e-mail asking for help and highlighting kscadvocates.org.
We just wanted to reiterate a few of her main points:
As passed by the House, House Bill 1 poses one of the greatest threats to New Hampshire public higher education in recent memory. … As the Senate Finance Committee takes up the bill and considers the cuts passed by the House, we cannot be silent. Keene State needs your help.
…
Please consider writing a letter to your senator expressing your support for Keene State and New Hampshire public higher education. To help you prepare your letter, we have set up a website at http://kscadvocates.org/. And, below are four easy steps that you can follow:
- Learn about the USNH appropriation and what the university system needs to sustain its mission.
- Between today and May 27, write a letter to your senator sharing your personal KSC story and expressing your support for public higher education in New Hampshire. Ask them to modify HB 1 so that it funds the USNH at 95% of the current level and fully funds the New Hampshire Unique College Investing Plan.
- If you are a KSC employee, learn about special guidelines that apply to you.
- Share a copy of your letter and any response you receive with KSC Chief Government Relations Officer Misha Charles.
