Professional Activity

Sgt. Victor Malavet, and officers Katey Kimball, Amanda Mountford, and Greg Williams were recently certified as R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) instructors. The instructor program is an intensive 3-day 30 hour program that qualifies the officers to instruct R.A.D., a self defense program for women focusing on education and awareness of sexual violence. In addition to the women’s program, Campus Safety also offers R.A.D. (Reducing Aggression with Defense) for Men which provides education and awareness on how men can actively reduce the incidence of violence against women as active bystanders. Campus Safety currently has 7 certified instructors on staff. All classes are free to faculty, staff and students.
