And You Thought College Was Expensive Already

From Kim Schmidl-Gagne and Pat Dolenc:

Wednesday, April 6, from noon-6 p.m., we are planning a campus-wide Teach In/Speak Out entitled, “And You Thought College was Expensive Already…The Impact of a 45% State Budget Cut” to discuss the NH State Legislature plans which may cut nearly half of the financial support the state provides Keene State.

At this time we are planning three “repeating” events, scheduled to begin at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Each two hour block will include an introduction with information regarding the budget and the impact of public higher education. We will then move to scheduled speakers and an open mic/Q and A time followed by information on advocacy. We will close with an opportunity for processing.

While each time block will represent a “full” program, they will each be somewhat different depending on the speakers. We encourage community members to drop in and out as individual schedules allow.

We are currently working on developing the program of scheduled speakers. Each speaker would have approximately 10 minutes. If you are interested in speaking, please contact Kim Schmidl-Gagne at kgagne@keene.edu or Pat Dolenc at pdolenc@keene.edu. We will work with you to schedule a time and determine a title or topic. We plan to share this schedule in advance of the Teach In.
