Intersecting Identities: The Many Faces of Self
Group Facilitators - Kelsey LeGloahec and Steve Gonzalez
This five-session group discussion will investigate how the multiple aspects of our identity such as race, class, ethnicity, and gender as well as our social locations shape our experience and perception of the world. We aim to cultivate a sense of our unique places in the world and how that creates limiting perspectives which then enables both privilege and oppression. Essentially, this group hopes to explore how one’s place in society helps and hurts others in order to bring an awareness of how to build a brighter and empowering future for all.
