Christopher O’Riley to Perform at the Redfern

From AJ Fox, Redfern:

Keene State College’s Redfern Arts Center presents the accomplished pianist Christopher O’Riley, performing a program titled Out of My Hands on Wednesday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Alumni Recital Hall. The performance will be followed by a question and answer session with the performer.

Audiences are also invited to come early and meet O’Riley before the show, at 6:30. These Meet-and-Greets with the artists are hosted by the Redfern and its staff; light refreshments will be served.

O’Riley is famous for bridging the gap between traditional and modern tastes, incorporating influences as recent as Radiohead, Nick Drake, and Elliot Smith into classics by Ravel, Scriabin, Shostakovich and others.

Tickets and information are available at the Redfern box office, 603-358-2168, or online, where you can also view many video clips from the season’s Visiting Artists repertoire.
