Presidents' Awards Nominations Sought

From Rebecca Hickam, CELT, Misha Charles, President’s Office, and Mary McEntee, Community Service:

The annual Campus Compact Presidents’ Awards luncheon is an opportunity for each College President in the state of New Hampshire to recognize one faculty/staff person, student or student organization, and community partner for their service to the Monadnock region. Nominations are being sought for the categories below.

Presidents’ Leadership Award

For an individual student or student organization that has made outstanding contributions to community service, service learning, and/or civic engagement efforts on their campus. This award is for a student or student organization that has made service an integral part of their college experience as evidenced through their contribution to the community. Recipients of this award show both a breadth and depth of involvement to a community organization or social issue and demonstrate leadership that translates into creating impact in the community.

Presidents’ Good Steward Award
For a member of the faculty, administration or staff member who has contributed his or her professional expertise in service to the wider community and who has significantly advanced public service on their campus. This award recognizes faculty, administrators and staff members who have created and strived towards a vision, demonstrated commitment towards student and community voice and served as a resource for service initiatives on campus.

Presidents’ Community Partner Award
For a non-profit organization who has enhanced the quality of life in the community in meaningful and measurable ways and engaged in the development sustained, reciprocal partnerships with a college or university.

Please note: This is not a statewide competition. The awards are designed to provide each campus the opportunity to recognize outstanding individuals and organizations from their own communities.

Please request nomination forms in any category from Mary McEntee for submission by Tuesday, March 1. After all nominations are received, the President and Cabinet will select one honoree from each category to be recognized at the April 12 event in Nashua. Candidates will be notified before March 18.
