Professional Activities

Dr. Jim Chesebrough, Assistant Professor of Music, conducted the Band as part of the Monadnock Valley Music Festival held at Monadnock High School on Saturday January 15, 2011. He performed as the director of approximately 117 of the best students from high schools in the Monadnock region. These students were recommended and prepared by their respective band directors, including three KSC Alumni; Glen D’Eon of Fall Mountain Regional High School, Phil Crotto of Monadnock Regional High School, and Heidi Welch of Hillsboro- Deering High School.

Jeff Friedman’s fifth book of poems, Working in Flour, has just been published by Carnegie Mellon University Press.
His recent work has appeared in American Poetry Review, Quick Fiction, Poetry International, Salt Hill Journal, 5 AM, Spillway, Prairie Schooner and the New Republic. He is working on a collection of mini stories and on a translation project with Dzvinia Orlowsky. Working in Flour is available through Carnegie Mellon University Press and Amazon.

A.L. Rydant, Geography, published an article entitled “Applying Sequential Fieldwork Skills Across Two International Field Courses,” in the November-December Journal of Geography with Brian A. Shiplee, John P. Smith, and Bryon Middlekauff.
