KSC Jailbirds Raise $2,815 for Muscular Dystrophy

On September 23, Keene State College employees became Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Jailbirds. Francis Brush (Bookstore), Patrick Hearn (Spaulding Gym), Jim Draper (Purchasing), Ken Howe (Athletics), and Irene Herold (Mason Library) were the Lock-Up participants from campus. With only four reporting in, these KSC Jailbirds raised $2,815. The Keene Lock-up event raised $30,000 overall, so the KSC contributions were just under 10% of the total raised. The contributions from this event will benefit more than 700 families in New Hampshire that MDA serves. Funds are used to provide program services such as the clinic at Dartmouth Hitchcock, support group sessions, summer camp for children, and research in over 43 neuromuscular diseases.
