Grants and Funding Workshop This Fall

The OSPR will be offering workshops on a variety of topics regarding grants and funding opportunities throughout the year. Listed below are our offerings for the fall semester:

  • Grant Writing Basics: Tuesday, September 15, or Monday, September 21, noon-1 p.m., Huntress 12
    This session is appropriate for those looking for an introduction/refresher to the world of grant writing in order to support their research and creative endeavors. Low-key, no pressure, just lots of info and an opportunity to explore questions you might have. Faculty can attend either date-the session is being repeated on two separate days to accommodate a variety of faculty schedules.
  • Finding Funding Opportunities: Tuesday, October 13, 12:30-1:30 p.m. or Wednesday, December 9, noon ­1 p.m. Registration required. Contact OSPR at swest@keene.edu to register.
    Learn how to search for funding opportunities using InfoEd’s SPIN system. This hands-on session will familiarize you with running searches using keywords specific to your area. Information on how to receive automatic alerts will also be discussed. Faculty can attend either date-the session is being repeated on two separate days to accommodate a variety of faculty schedules.
  • Introduction to National Science Foundation (NSF):Thursday, November 12, or Monday, November 16, noon-1 p.m., Huntress 12
    Curious about the NSF? A general overview of the National Science Foundation and how it operates will be provided, along with a brief discussion of funding opportunities for undergraduate programs. This session is appropriate for those in the sciences and social sciences. Faculty can attend_ _either date-the session is being repeated on two separate days to accommodate a variety of faculty schedules.
