Literature to Life: The Kite Runner

From Bill Menezes, Redfern Arts Center: The American Place Theatre will bring its Literature to Life production of Khaled Hosseini’s _The Kite Runner_ to the Redfern Theatre on Thursday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. The first novel about contemporary Afghanistan to be written in English, The Kite Runner portrays the improbable friendship between two boys – Amir, a privileged Pashtun, and Hassan, a Hazara servant – and explores the beauty and agony of their war-torn nation.

The one-man performance, featuring Sorab Wadia, will include a 15-minute pre-show interactive discussion and a one-hour performance, followed by a 15-minute post-show interactive discussion.
