Enrollment for Continuing Education’s Cheshire Academy for Lifelong Learning Spring Program Up

From Dori Almann, Continuing Education: Registration for the spring session of Keene State College’s Cheshire Academy for Lifelong Learning (CALL) is at an all-time high. Founded in the mid-1990s, the program is an educational program for seniors and retired people in the Monadnock region.

The noncredit and nongraded courses are taught by CALL members and other local experts, and participants take an active role in planning courses. CALL members pay a semester registration fee and a membership fee that permits students to use campus facilities throughout the academic year. Topics this spring include the philosophy of Buddhism, the Supreme Court and the constitution, King Lear, conversational French, wicked women of opera, ballroom dance, comparative government, the political economy of Obama’s first 100 days, and medieval life.

CALL is administered through the Division of Continuing Education and Extended Studies (8-2290) located in Elliot Center.
