Data Center Outage March 21

From the IT Group: On Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, the IT Group is planning a Data Center outage that will interrupt your access to the KSC network, Intranet, and applications delivered via the network.

During this outage period, all applications that are accessed over the local KSC network and/or over the Internet will not be available. Some of the more frequently used services that will not be available during this outage period include: Outlook, Datatel, P & Q file storage, Internet access, WebAdvisor, MyKSC, Blackboard, and the KSC local network.

On Saturday, March 21, the downtime is expected to be from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.; on Sunday, March 22, there is the possibility of system/network outages in the event that a system/network reset is required.

The Data Center outage is needed to prepare the Data Center for future maintenance/upgrades. This time frame was scheduled to coincide with Spring Break so as to minimize the disruption to the campus community. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions concerning this or any other technology issue, please feel free to contact the HelpDesk at 8-2532, or stop by our office on the second floor of Elliot Hall.
