From Renee Staudinger, College and Media Relations: A group of young men from the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity surprised Carole Wright (Student Financial Services) early on Monday morning with a carnation and a message of thanks.

“Before working hours, a group of boys approached me outside of Rhodes and one said, ‘I know you work on campus, and I want to thank you for all your hard work,’” Wright said. Touched, she thanked them, and took the offered carnation with their fraternity pin attached. “It was so special and unexpected. Then they entered Elliot, probably looking for others to thank.”

According to Don Clemmenson, current hegemon at Tau Kappa Epsilon, the fraternity opened on campus in October of 2008 and members have had nothing but pleasant conversations with all of KSC’s faculty and staff. “This was our way of saying ‘thank you’ for all of the hard work people on campus put in everyday,” he said.
