Happy Birthday Charles Darwin

On Thursday, February 12, the Biology Department hosted a two-part celebration in the lobby of the Science Center to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of On The Origin of Species, one of the most important events in the history of science. A birthday cake was served, and Peter Roos (Art) presented a slide show on the Galapagos Islands. Peter and his son visited the archipelago last summer.
