KSC Greek Community Celebrates Achievements

From Jennifer Ferrell, Student Center: On September 19 the Keene State College Greek community came together to celebrate their achievements during the 2007 – 2008 academic year.

President Giles-Gee presented two KSC Greek organizations with the first-ever President’s Greek Awards in honor of their accomplishments. The Olympus Bowl award for Most Outstanding Greek organization was presented to the sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority for completing 417 documented community service hours, the highest of any Greek organization during the 2007 – 2008 school year. The Omega Cup award for Most Improved Greek organization went to Eta Gamma Chi (now Delta Xi Phi) for their positive accomplishments and growth, including the highest chapter grade-point average for the academic year and their demonstrated commitment to academic excellence. Criteria for awards were based upon the 2007 – 2008 Greek Chapter Assessment Tool. Congratulations to these organizations for truly exemplifying the values and ideals of the Keene State College Greek community.
