Keene State College has learned of allegations of misconduct by a staff member, and following a thorough review, has terminated Eugene Vallante, who had been a full-time employee at the College since 2005.

As the College began an investigation into the allegations, we simultaneously initiated a thorough review of the timeline associated with these allegations. That review includes a thorough examination of compliance and reporting processes. The review is of the utmost importance and is continuing swiftly and with rigor. It is important to note that this personnel action taken based on the allegations is not an end point to the investigation.

We are fully cooperating with law enforcement, and because of confidentiality concerns and the involvement of law enforcement, cannot specifically discuss individuals or our findings at this time.

First and foremost, we are dedicated to our students and their ability to access a quality education in a safe and secure setting. We value our roles as educators and stewards of the environment in which our students can learn and succeed. As such, we will not tolerate any instance of employee misconduct or condone behavior that does not meet the highest ethical standards.
