Keene Holds Tribute to Elie Wiesel

The Cohen Center, the department of Holocaust and Genocide Studies, the Mason Library, and the Keene Public Library are sponsoring an evening in tribute to Elie Wiesel, Nobel Laureate, Holocaust survivor, and author, who died in July at age 87. The public is invited to celebrate this remarkable man’s life and legacy on Monday, Sept. 12th, at 7 p.m. at the Keene Public Library’s Heberton Hall. Wiesel spent his lifetime articulating the connection between the murder of European Jews during the Holocaust and our present moral obligation to stand up for persecuted people worldwide.
