Fenton Family Dealerships Honors Keene State Students

Keene State College Announces Winner of Fenton Family Dealerships Design Award
Two Students Receive Award for Innovative Designs
Keene State College announces the Fenton Family Dealerships Design Award, which was awarded to two Keene State students for their original product designs. Through Keene State College’s efforts to build deeper relationships with business and prepare students to pursue meaningful work, the College collaborated with Fenton Family Dealerships to create this new design award. Two seniors studying Sustainable Product Design and Innovation have been selected as the 2015 recipients of the Fenton Family Dealerships Design Award of $1,000 each. This year’s selected students are Christopher Ponce of Winchester, NH and Henry Bendel of Andover, NH.
“We are very pleased that Fenton Family Dealerships is recognizing and supporting our students’ design work,” said Keene State College President Dr. Anne Huot. “This recognition is motivating to students during their college years, and meaningful to the pursuit of their careers. We continue to expand business-sponsored support of our students, and offer our appreciation to Fenton Family Dealerships for paving the way.”
Bob Swartz, chief executive officer of Fenton Family Dealerships said, “Keene State is an incredible asset to our community, and the state. We are thrilled to help these creative and hard working students—supporting them benefits us all.”
The Design Award was given to Henry Bendel for his design of new technology detecting blood-alcohol levels to help prevent accidents due to intoxication, and Christopher Ponce, for his design of engine air-intake housing efficiency-enhancing design.
