KEENE, N.H., 12/03/07 - Sophomore Jackie Foster (Goffstown, N.H.) had a record-setting day winning three events to lead the Keene State College women’s swiming/diving team to the 2007 Little East Conference Championships at UMass Dartmouth’s Tripp Center Pool on Saturday. The Keene State men also had a record-setting weekend at the ECAC Division III Meet, which took place at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, N.Y.

Keene State women won their fifth overall and second-straight LEC title handily with 605 points. Host UMass Dartmouth was a distant second with 271 points.

“I expected us to do well, but I never thought we’d swim our fastest times of the year,” said KSC Coach Jack Fabian, whose Owls won 10 of 13 swim events.

Foster, a transfer from UConn, set a KSC and pool record in the 1,650 freestyle (18:11.73), breaking the record (18:17.9) set by Kaitlin Pryor in 2006. She also set pool marks with her victories in the 200 free (2:00.40) and the 500 free (5:18.76.).
