KSC Appoints Kathleen Williams as Director of Marketing and Communications

New Director Brings Decades of Higher Education Experience

Keene State College today announces the appointment of Kathleen Williams as the college’s incoming director of marketing and communications. Kathleen brings twenty years of experience in the field of marketing and strategic communications, most recently from New England College where she was the director of public information for the past seven years. She succeeds an interim director, Eve Alintuck, who was hired to develop and execute a number of strategic initiatives. Ms. Williams began her work at Keene State College on July 9.

“Keene State College is widely recognized for its outstanding educational programming and its focus on a quality student experience. I am looking forward to working with a very talented and creative team of marketing and communication professionals to share the success of the Keene State community with an ever widening audience,” said Ms. Williams.

“I am thrilled to welcome Kathleen Williams to the Keene State College community. She has the skills, leadership qualities and experience to advance our college at a time when new opportunities and challenges continue to present themselves,” said Keene State College Vice President for Advancement, Maryann Lindberg.

Ms. Williams’ background includes marketing for both undergraduate and graduate programs. She has experience with alternative delivery models and non-traditional audiences. Her expertise includes public relations, publications, and crisis management, and she has extensive experience in major event planning. Most recently, she served as the New England College Director of Public Information for the past seven years. She has held marketing and communication positions at Franklin Pierce University, the University of New Hampshire, the Currier Museum of Art, and Lesley University.

Ms. Williams holds a B.A. from Boston University, an M.A. from Framingham State University, and an M.A. from New England College. She is a member of the Leadership New Hampshire Class of 2005. She has been recognized with the Alumni Achievement Award from the Chamberlayne School of Design and Merchandising (Mt. Ida College, 1993), and the Outstanding Individual Achievement Award from the Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors-International (2000).
