Wheelock Students to Appear on Worlds Largest Concert

KEENE, N.H. 2/21/02 Wheelock School students and staff have been selected to appear on the national TV show The Worlds Largest Concert.

Last November, the schools students and staff were filmed at Keene State College singing The Next Country Over. The tape was used as an audition for The Worlds Largest Concert, an annual event sponsored by the Music Educators National Conference. Locally, the show will air on Channel 11 (N.H. Public Television) and Channel 12 (Vermont Public Television) on Thursday, March 14, 1-1:30 p.m.

The school was notified last week that its entry will be used in the concert, along with entries from schools from around the country. Now in its 18th year, the WLC will be broadcast on PBS and the Armed Services Radio and Television Network. Last year over 8 million people watched the show.
