About Keene State College Chamber Singers’ Community Partnerships

Since August 2011, the Keene State College Chamber Singers embarked on a semester partnership series with local organizations to promote awareness and provide outreach performances within the community. The Keene State College Department of Music has committed to the donation of twenty percent of concert proceeds from these collaborative choral events.

In January, members of the Chamber Singers travelled to Stonewall Farm for a weekend retreat. The singers toured the farm, met the animals, learned the farm’s mission and participated in the farm’s educational activities. Throughout the semester, singers continued to visit the farm to perform at the Frozen Farm Festival and volunteer during the 13th annual Sap Gathering Contest. The collaborative work between the farm and Keene State’s Department of Music continues to expand.
