Dr. Kathryn Dodge's Appointment with Keene State College

Decades of Statewide, Regional and National Higher Education Experience Brought to College

Keene, NH, September 13, 2011: Keene State College (KSC) today announces the appointment of Dr. Kathryn Dodge as Special Assistant to the President. She comes to Keene State College from her former position as Executive Director of the New Hampshire Postsecondary Education Commission (NH PSEC). As Executive Director, Dr. Dodge coordinated the activities of a member commission that oversaw the regulation of all public and private, for profit and not for profit higher education institutions and career schools in the state and those that wished to enter the state. The NH PSEC administered more than four million dollars in financial aid and oversaw issues related to Veteran’s educational affairs and other matters pertaining to postsecondary education.

“I am thrilled to welcome Dr. Dodge to the Keene State College community. She brings with her a wealth of higher education experience with statewide, regional and national breadth,” said President of Keene State College, Helen Giles-Gee. “Dr. Dodge’s experience will offer new insights to Keene State College that will help to continue to raise the bar for excellence at our college.” Dr. Kathryn Dodge represented New Hampshire’s colleges and universities with the regional accrediting board, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, New England Board of Higher Education and chaired the Governor’s task force on K through 16. Many colleagues also remember her dedicated service to the institution from 1990 to 2001 when Kathryn was Director of Admissions at Keene State College.

Dr. Dodge will begin her work with Keene State College on Monday, September 19.
