Conducted by KSC music faculty member Elaine Broad Ginsberg, the KSC Chamber Singers will present a colorful bouquet of works from the Renaissance period to the 20th and 21st centuries, including Samuel Barber’s Agnus Dei, a lyrical version of Barber’s renowned Adagio for Strings. Allegri’s legendary Miserere, composed originally for the Vatican and transcribed by Mozart, will feature a quartet that includes vocal majors Melissa White and Alyson Ryder reaching a high C.

Ginsberg’s compositions, The Bridge, Tov l’hodot (It is good to give thanks), and Oseh Shalom (grant peace) will also be performed. In addition, the audience will hear a jazz version of Van Morrison’s Moondance, William Byrd’s fast moving Haec Dies, and O Thou Glory of Glories by New England composer Jacqueline Odess-Gillett with percussion accompaniment. A barbershop quartet featuring students Michael Kostoulakos, Stephen Abodeely, Joseph McConaughy, and Timothy Price will sing Sweet Adeline and Price’s arrangement of Edelweiss. The chorus will close with An Irish Blessing.
