KSC Forms Alliance with U.S. Labor Department's OSHA
KEENE, N.H., 03/11/09 - The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Keene State College OSHA Training Institute Education Center (KSC OTIEC) formed an alliance to provide New England employers and their workers with information about programs and training to help reduce workplace hazards and related human and financial costs.
One of 43 education centers in the country working with OSHA, KSC OTIEC’s training programs help reduce hazards associated with working in general industry and the construction and maritime fields. The alliance provides KSC OTIEC’s instructors and students with access to training resources, supports outreach efforts, and promotes safety and health training.
The U.S. Department of Labor and Keene State College have had a cooperative relationship since 1994.
Robert Baker, KSC OTIEC director, and Marthe Kent, OSHA’s regional administrator in Boston, Mass., signed the alliance.
