"Focus The Nation" Brings Politicians, Discussion to KSC Campus

KEENE, N.H., 1/23/08 - Keene State College and Antioch University New England are cohosting a live, interactive webcast, “Focus the Nation: The 2% Solution Needs 100% Participation,” on Wed., Jan. 30, in the Mabel Brown Room in the Student Center. This event is part of a national educational initiative created to promote environmental activism on campus and is free and open to the public.

The webcast will be from 8 to 9 p.m. Before the webcast, from 7 to 8 p.m., Leigh Marthe from Senator Hodes’s office, Senator Molly Kelly, and ANE faculty member Abi Abrash will talk about effective communication with politicians and how to influence policy changes.

After the webcast, there will be moderated round-table discussions about opportunities and actions that can be taken on a personal and local level. The KSC Ecology Club will sell Prime Roast Fair Trade coffee and cookies made with local ingredients.
