KSC Graphic Design Seniors Showcased in April 20 Portfolio Review

KEENE, N.H., 4/11/07 - Portfolios of 24 Keene State College seniors majoring in graphic design are open for public review on Friday, April 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Media Arts Center.

“Portfolio Review celebrates accomplishments of graduating graphic design seniors and introduces their work to a wider audience. Showcased is a wide variety of design-related projects covering print, web, and multimedia featuring brochures, logo designs, websites, animation projects, and editorial design,” said graphic design assistant professor Robert Kostick, portfolio review coordinator.

Having successfully completed all or most design classes necessary for graduation, students enroll in Graphic Design Portfolio. This class prepares students for professional employment by focusing on the development of the student’s portfolio of work. Portfolio Review showcases the best of each student’s 12 professional-quality designs, encompassing the student’s talent, design versatility, and overall command of the field of visual communications.

The public is invited to Portfolio Review. By attending the event, local business community members have the opportunity to review portfolios of graphic design seniors whose education has prepared them for design-related careers in publishing, advertising, web design, and multimedia graphics. The event is free. Refreshments will be served.

Information is available from Robert Kostick (358-2906; rkostick@keene.edu).
