"A Taste of Greater Keene"

KEENE, N.H. 10/25/05 - Local residents will have the chance to sample food from regional restaurants at Keene State College’s fourth annual “A Taste of Greater Keene,” to be held on Sunday, Nov. 6, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Colony Mill Marketplace.

“A Taste of Greater Keene,” sponsored by C&S; Wholesale Grocers and the Colony Mill Marketplace, is a fundraiser for the KSC Community Service Nutrition Scholarship Endowment and the local Meals-on-Wheels Program.

More than 20 restaurants will offer the region’s best with returning favorites like Luca’s, Margaritas, Salmon Chase and 176 Main and new restaurants from all over the region like Acqua Bistro in Peterborough, The Inn at East Hill Farm in Troy, and Leslie’s Tavern from Rockingham, VT.

Unlike other tasting events, A Taste of Greater Keene is open to the entire community and there is no admission fee. Visitors simply buy tokens in exchange for samples costing $1-$3. There will also be raffles during the event for merchandise from Your Kitchen Store, restaurant gift certificates, and a $300 Colony Mill shopping spree just in time for the holidays.
