Orang Asli CD Now Available

During her travels to Peninsular Malaysia, beginning in 1980, Rosemary Gianno, professor of sociology/anthropology recorded music, sounds and stories of the Semelai, an indigenous people of the area.

The CD of the recordings, “People of the Lake and Forest: Music and Stories”, is currently being offered free for donations of $25 or more to KSC’s Orang Asli Archive Endowment. For more information, visit www.keene.edu/ library/orangasli.

The Orang Asli Archive in Mason LIbrary is a repository for unpublished documents, films, tapes and other recordings relevant to Orang Asli peoples and cultures of Malaysia.
