NH SBDC Regional Manager Nationally Recognized as "State Star"
DURHAM, N.H. - The NH Small Business Development Center, an outreach program of UNH’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics, is pleased to announce that Gary Chabot, regional manager for the NH Small Business Development Center (NH SBDC) at Keene State College, is the 2003 recipient of the National Association of Small Business Development Centers State Star award for counseling excellence. Mr. Chabot was honored this month at the national Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) conference in San Diego along with awardees from other states and U.S. territories.
“Since joining the NH SBDC six years ago, Gary Chabot has excelled as a business counselor,” says Mary Collins, state director of the NH SBDC. “Clients benefit from his personal expertise and hands on approach in addressing their unique business issues. His prior experience in corporate finance, marketing and commercial real estate has been invaluable in providing high-quality one- on-one business assistance.”
From his offices at Keene State College, Chabot serves businesses in Sullivan, Cheshire and parts of Hillsborough Counties. He holds an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, MA and has earned a Certified Commercial Investment Membership (CCIM) as part of the National Association of Realtors. “CCIM” is the highest level of certification for commercial investment real estate professionals.
The NH SBDC has provided business counseling and training programs to the state’s small businesses since 1984. Hosted by the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, the organization is funded by the federal Small Business Administration and the state of New Hampshire.
