Keene State Welcomes New Faculty Members

KEENE, N.H. 9/23/03 - Nine new professors and two instructors in full-time, tenure-track positions began working at Keene State College this fall. Six other new appointments for one-year positions also started at KSC this fall.

Ann Atkinson has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of communication.

A graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego, Atkinson holds a master’s degree from the State University of New York College at Oneonta and a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Luz Carime Bersh has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of education. A graduate of Universidad de los Andes, Colombia, she holds a master’s degree from the University of Alabama.

Prudence Cuper has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of education. A graduate of Centenary College, Cuper earned her master’s and doctorate from North Carolina State University.

Brian Green has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of sociology. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Green holds a master’s degree from Kent State University.

Linda Hadden has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of management. A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Hadden holds an M.B.A. from Babson College and a D.B.A from Nova Southeastern University.

Kenneth Hodges has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of English. A graduate of Williams College, Hodges earned his master’s degree from University of California and his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.

Karen Jennings has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of psychology. A graduate of Boston University, she earned her master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island.

Lesley Johnson has joined the faculty as an instructor in technology, design and safety. A graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Keene State College, Johnson holds a master’s degree and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern New Hampshire.

Robert Kostick has joined the faculty as an instructor in graphic design. A graduate of Lesley University, Kostick earned an M.F.A. from Vermont College.

Marianne Salcetti has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of journalism. A graduate of Ohio State University, Salcetti holds a master’s degree from the same institution and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.

Barbara Ware has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of modern languages. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Ware holds a master’s degree from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. from Temple University.

One-year appointments for the new year include Ann Beaudry-Torrey (faculty fellow in education), Claire Dubois (faculty fellow in education), Clinton Nichols (lecturer in sociology), Rebecca Pearce (lecturer in communication), Douglas Smith (lecturer in biology), and Gail Troseth (lecturer in management).
