Renowned Poets McNair and Fargnoli Read at KSC

KEENE, N.H. 9/1/03 - Award-winning poets Wesley McNair and Patricia Fargnoli will read excerpts from their work on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Madison Street Lounge of the Student Center at Keene State College. The reading, which is sponsored by the English department, is free and open to the public.

McNair is the author of seven collections of poetry. Among his many achievements are serving on the 2002 nominating jury for the Pulitzer Prize for poetry and writing the script for a recent PBS series on Robert Frost, which later received an Emmy Award. He graduated from Keene State in 1963.

Fargnoli is a MacDowell Fellow and assistant editor of The Worcester Review. Her book, “Necessary Light,” won the 1999 May Swenson Book Award. She has been published widely in such journals as Poetry and The Southern Poetry Review.
