Student Project Displays in Rhodes Hall, Elliot Hall, and the Library.

Lunch in the Landscape. Tuesday, April 22 at noon. Bring your lunch to the sundial in the Library courtyard and talk about Sustainable Landscaping with our own gardener extraordinaire Chris Feiker and special guest T Fleisher from the Battery Park Gardens in New York City. Bagels for Bus Riders - Free bagels this week for bus riders. Never ridden? Give it a try. It’s always FREE for students and you can get anywhere in town on it.

Arboretum Tour - Wednesday, April 23, 2003, 1 p.m. Take a walk around campus with arborist Jeff Garland and Bud Winsor, assistant director of physical plant/grounds. Learn about the wonderful trees we have on campus. Meet at the big rock on Oya Hill (between the gym and the Owl’s Nests)

Tree Planting in the Library Courtyard. Join us as we plant a Liberty Tree Elm on Friday, April 25, 11 a.m., in memory of former KSC student Eric Burns, at the Library Courtyard. Eric Burns paid his college tuition by working at the Elm Institute, formerly of Harrisville. Liberty Tree Elms have been planted throughout the United States because of his efforts.

Bike Repair Workshop. Thursday, April 24, noon, Whitcomb Building. Learn the basics of bike repair from bicycling enthusiast Bob Dumond. Please pre-register at mjensen@keene.edu or ext. 2567.

Reuse-A-Shoe Athletic Shoe Collection - Bring your old athletic shoes to campus for recycling. Nike will recycle the old shoes into new ones. The overall goal is 1 million shoes and you can help. Collection boxes will be located in the student center and recreation center.

Solar Fest - come check out the Campus Ecology Solar Fest featuring Pete Francis, Sage Francis, the Cling, and more. Friday April 25 beginning at 2 p.m.

Alternative Fuel Vehicle Cars will be on display. Hybrid electric Toyota Prias, a Compressed Natural Gas Honda, and a Keene State College vehicle powered by bio-diesel.
