One Case of Viral Meningitis Reported
Earlier today, Friday, March 1, the College learned that a resident student has been diagnosed with viral meningitis. Viral meningitis requires no treatment other than rest. Close contacts of viral meningitis patients do not need to be treated. Because this is viral meningitis - rather than bacterial - other members of the campus community are not considered at risk. This is the first and only case of meningitis that has been reported on our campus this year. The student is resting and doing well.
