KSC Holds Academic Showcase for Prospective Students

KEENE, N.H. 10/30/01 - What do you want to know about Keene State College? Prospective students and their families are invited to visit and learn about academic programs and student services at the Keene State College Academic Showcase, to be held Sunday, Nov. 18.

The Showcase is a great opportunity for students and their families to find everything they want to know about us in one place, says Peggy Richmond, director of admissions. Faculty and staff will be at their disposal to offer academic advice and counsel.

The event, which is expected to draw about 600 people, begins at 1 p.m. in the Redfern Arts Center on Brickyard Pond with a welcome from Dr. Stanley J. Yarosewick, president of Keene State, and Michael Maher, director of alumni and parent relations. The program continues at 2 p.m. in the Student Center.

The showcase will feature displays and informational packets about Keene States 35 majors, national and international exchange programs, cooperative education, and numerous other programs on campus. Faculty and staff members will be on hand to discuss the academic program and answer questions. Students and parents will be given the opportunity to join tours of the campus.
