Chemistry Students Will Travel to Summer Programs

Juniors Chris Rinaldo and Lisa Bennett, and Jerry Jasinski, professor of chemistry, will spend much of their summer working with research groups at the University of Connecticut and Brandeis University.

Two chemistry majors have been selected as participants at prestigious research programs for the summer. Lisa Bennett, a junior, and Jerry Jasinski, professor of chemistry, will attend the National Science Foundation Summer Research Program in Solid State Chemistry at Brandeis University. The program begins with a week-long tutorial session at Clemson University and finishes with a symposium, also at Clemson.

Chris Rinaldo, a junior, has been accepted to attend a ten-week research session at the University of Connecticut, through the Research Experiences for Undergraduates program.
