Proulx Named New England Runner of the Year

KEENE, N.H. 5/27/03 - Keene State College’s Mary Proulx not only returned from the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track Championships with a national title and two All-America honors, but also the New England Women’s Division III Runner of the Year award.

Proulx, from Ashland, N.H., capped off her KSC career this past weekend by racing to a national championship in the 10,000-meter and placing second in the 5,000-meter events. She completes her Owl career with five national titles and 15 All-America honors. Earlier this season, Proulx won the 10,000-meter race at the Penn Relays; Her time of 33:21.80 was the fastest ever recorded by a Division III runner.
