Student From Brookline Awarded Music Scholarship
KEENE, N.H. 5/7/04 - Keene State College student Tiffany Hinson of Brookline, N.H., has been awarded the Jesse F. Davis Scholarship to pursue her education in music. Hinson is a sophomore majoring in music education.
Established in 1993, the Davis Scholarship provides a cash award. Recipients are chosen from music majors by the Keene State music faculty, based upon artistic and academic merit, as well as contributions to the music department and the campus community.
The scholarship was established by the late Jesse F. Davis, KSC Class of ‘37, who spent 28 years as a music teacher at Naugatuck (Conn.) High School. Davis spent 36 years teaching music in Connecticut public schools and two years as an adjunct professor at Western Connecticut State University.
