DANCE YaNOWsky
The Redfern presents DANCE YaNOWsky , an evening of work by award-winning Boston Ballet choreographer, Yury Yanowsky, well known to Redfern patrons as the Cavalier in MoCo Arts' The Nutcracker. DANCE YaNOWsky will cover a spectrum of ballet, from neoclassical to contemporary, including their spectacular and richly textured Smoke and Mirrors , hailed as a "visual and choreographic masterpiece." Yanowsky will lead a group of internationally acclaimed ballet stars including Principal Dancers from the Boston Ballet, Josh Knowles, a solo violinist, and music by award-winning film composer Lucas Vidal. A special dance piece, Origins , will feature MoCo Arts dance students, whose participation onstage builds off of an ongoing relationship shared between MoCo Arts and Yanowsky.
