Keene State College
Growing up, film studies major Julia Sterns '25 didn't see many movies that featured strong Asian representation or positive queer relationships. Determined to change media in the future, Julia came to Keene State to gather knowledge and skills to make an impact.
Mercedes Jewell '22 paired her interests to earn dual degrees from Keene State in criminal justice studies and psychology. Following graduation, she's stepping right into the workforce with a position at Child Protective Services within NH's Department of Health and Human Services.
During his time at Keene State, Mike "Monty" Montembeault '22 stayed true to two of his passions: baseball and firefighting. After receiving his degree in safety and occupational health applied sciences earlier this month, Monty will follow his calling as a firefighter and work to receive his EMT certification this summer.
Slesha Tuladhar '23 and Carter Nelson '22 have been working on a federally funded student research team alongside Dr. Ahasan Habib. Their research focuses on testing biological materials for bioprinting, with the goal of being able to someday develop human tissue and organs using a 3D printer.
