Keene State Presents: Open College - Dammed: How Natural River Dams Work and What That Means about the Dams We Build

Presented by Professor Denise Burchsted In this presentation, Dr. Burchsted will demonstrate the complexity of our rivers and the effects that dams have on the habitat. She will compare rivers with natural dams to rivers with human dams then discuss suggestions for management of the dams we build, including the local West Street Dam on the Ashuelot River.
