You’ve seen the incredible images from outer space. Did you ever wonder about the technology used to capture those images? At its Keene operations, Corning Specialty Materials employs about 140 people and manufactures highly sophisticated optical components and subassemblies used in defense and aerospace, including components in the NASA New Horizons mission that recently travelled past Pluto. Who should come? All students, all majors and years and especially students interested in optics, physics, manufacturing, material sciences, computer science, management, environment, safety and industrial hygiene. Faculty from all disciplines are welcome and urged to come.
