Cohen Center for Holocaust andGenocide Studies Director, Henry Knight will reflect on the rainbow as asymbol of hope, of a cultural sign of promise and obligation and the questionof what happens when obligations are shattered: when the rainbow breaks in its covenantal sense.
There will be a candle lightingceremony to honor the victims of the Holocaust. The United NationsGeneral Assembly designated January 27 - the anniversary of the liberation ofAuschwitz-Birkenau - as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
