KSC Percussion Ensemble persents Percussion Plus!

The KSC Percussion Ensemble will feature several guest artists and collaborations on the spring concert. The program will include compositions by Ney Rosauro, Bobby Previte, Alexander Lepak and KSC’s own composers Ted Mann and Chris Swist. Several of the pieces on this concert will feature soloists: Professor Marcia Lehninger on violin, Professor Ted Mann on electric guitar, and Jimmy Caltrider (Class of 2013) on drum set. In addition, Jon Ketelhut (Class of 2013) will continue his film collaborations in the Music Department with a film set to a live percussion performance.

Marimbas, vibraphones, xylophone, bells, 2 sets of timpani, 2 drums sets, gongs, congas, cowbells, bottles, pipes, spoons, washboard, synthesizers, drum machine, violin, electric guitar, a bullwhip, and an interactive film all live on the Recital Hall of the Redfern Arts Center. Music inspired by Japan, Airport Terminals, Stereo Sound, The Aztecs, and Frank Zappa. Please join director Christopher Swist and the KSC Percussion Ensemble for a journey through genre, sound, and sight.
