For the Birds: An Evening of Short Films
Join us for an evening of award-winning short films highlighting the beauty, bravery, and perils of bird migration, and the people who spend their lives working to make the world safer for birds. Films will include "Sky Migrations," which follows backcountry biologists on their quest to understand the fall raptor migration; "Lights Out," a sobering look at the impact of window collisions on migratory birds, and what we can do to help; "The Art of Flying," a mesmerizing meditation on starlings in flight; and "Nightsongs," a celebration of the wonder of nocturnal migration by local filmmakers Liz and Matthew Myer Boulton. Afterward, stay for a post-film Q&A with Phil Brown, the Harris Center’s Bird Conservation Director.
7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Putnam Theater at Keene State College. Free of charge, but registration is encouraged athttps://harriscenter.org/events/for-the-birds-an-evening-of-short-films. For more information, including questions about accessibility, contact Brett Amy Thelen at thelen@harriscenter.org.
