Sidore Foundation Lecture: "Sweet Malida: A Journey in Poetry of the History, Food, and Culture of the Bene Israel Jews of India"

This talk by Zilka Joseph will offer an overview of the history of the ancient community called the Bene Israel, their food and culture, and a reading of poems from her new book "Sweet Malida," which tells stories of food, memory, imagination, and migration. Zilka Joseph was born in Mumbai, India, and now lives and works as a writer and editor in Michigan.
