L'Dough V'Dough 2025: Community Storytelling and Bread-making Event
Every year, the Cohen Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies holds an event in recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. This year, the Institute is proud to be partnering with the Jewish Federation of New Hampshire to present our third offering of L'Dough V'Dough, a community storytelling and bread making event.
In this program, Holocaust survivors (and others with a personal connection to the Holocaust) are seated at tables with community members to share personal stories while learning to braid challah bread together. The name for this event is a play on the Hebrew phrase "l'dor v'dor," which means "from generation to generation." Thus, L'Dough V'Dough programs are meant to cultivate deep relationships and forms of remembrance across generations.
L’Dough V’Dough will be a fully in-person event with limited seating capacity. The event will be held at the Millspace, which is located in Newmarket, NH. All participants will braid a small loaf of challah to bring home and bake at the end of the event. Additionally, a light meal of soup and bread is included as part of the event.
A LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS EVENT. You must reserve your spot in advance of the event. To reserve your ticket, please fill out the ticket reservation form.
This event is part of the Cohen Center calendar.
