Film Screening: First They Killed My Father
In preparation for the 2024 Genocide Awareness Lecture with Loung Ung, the Cohen Center will be hosting a special screening of the film, First They Killed My Father , in partnership with Keene Public Library. The film is an adaptation of Ung's best-selling autobiography of the same name. Produced by Angelina Jolie, it tells the story of Ung's quest for survival amid the sudden rise and terrifying reign of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.
This event is being held in Huntress Auditorium at Keene Public Library. The film screening is free and open to all; 75 seats will be available on a first-come-first-served basis at the door. Doors will open at 5:30pm and the film will begin promptly at 6pm.
This film screening is presented by the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies and Keene Public Library.
