Faculty Composer Recital
The Faculty Composers Recital will feature four faculty composers: Dr. Lezcano, Professor Rogers, Dr. Ginsberg, and Dr. Gilligan. There will be 3 World Premieres this concert! Dr. Ginsberg wrote a solo piano piece for another faculty member Virginia Eskin, Which will be its World Premiere this concert. She is also programming two other works, one song for soprano and piano from her early career, and a choral work from her mid-career. Dr. Lezcano has 2 works being programmed - Recollections Suite for clarinet and guitar, and a duo for two clarinets (Bb clarinet and bass clarinet). Recollections Suite for clarinet and guitar is also one of the pieces that will be having its World premiere this concert. Professor Rogers will perform his own solo piano work that will also be having its World Premiere. Dr. Gilligan has two pieces on the program – a song for soprano and piano, and a choral work. We are so proud of our Keene State Music Department Faculty to be bring us new music to share with the world and to also showcase their own unique compositional techniques/talents.
