American Vignettes for Cello and Piano

Performing on Piano will be Dr. Christina Wright-Ivanova and performing on Cello with be Aron Zelkowic. Including works by Carter Pann, Gabriela Lena Frank, Stacey Garrop, Kevin Puts, Stephen Paulus and Margaret Bonds, this is a chamber music program that celebrates the American spirit. We will highlight a variety of styles via tiny snapshots or "vignettes" from the American vernacular including jazz, blues, and folksong. This is in preparation for a CD project of the same name to be recorded at WGBH Boston in mid-November.

This concert will be taking place after the NHMTA Conference which includes a lecture and class by renowned pianist and pedagogue, Virginia Eskin. Another guest artist Alison Barr. Thanks to MTNA for providing a Professional Development Grant for this conference
